RESOLUTION NO. 6399
(CITY COUNCIL SERIES)
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA MONICA APPROVING ASSESSMENT DIAGRAM
AND CONFIRMING ASSESSMENT FOR THE AREA BOUNDED
BY LINCOLN BOULEVARD, SANTA MONICA FREEWAY~
FOURTEENTH STREET AND PICa BOULEVARD
(EXCLUDING ELEVENTH STREET)
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Monica, pursuant to Section
5100 et seq. of the Streets and Highways Code, commenced
proceedings to construct street lighting and appurtenant work in
the area bounded by lincoln Boulevard! the Santa Monica Freeway!
Fourteenth Street~ and Pica Boulevard (excluding Eleventh Street);
and
WHEREAS~ the proceeding is more fully described in the
Resolution of Intention adopted by the City Council on June 10,
1980, being Resolution Number 6016 (eeS); and
WHEREAS, the contract for the above-described work has
been fulfilled to the satisfaction of the Superintendent of
Streets; and
WHEREAS~ the Superintendent of Streets has made an
assessment to cover the sum due for the work performed and
specified in the contract; and
WHEREAS, the assessment has been filed with the City
Clerk; and

WHEREAS, the City Clerk gave the notice required by
Section 5362 of the Streets and Highways Code; and
WHEREAS~ upon the day and hour fixed for hearing by the
City Clerk! the City Council of the City of Santa Monica heard and

passed upon any and all objections, appeals, and protests,
NOW~ THEREFORE! THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS;
SECTION 1. That all objections~ appeals, and protests
of every kind and nature be and the same are hereby overruled and
denied.
SECTION 2.
That the diagram of property affected and
benefited by the construction of a high-pressure sodium street
lighting system and appurtenant work in the area bounded by
Lincoln Boulevard~ the Santa Monica Freeway~ Fourteenth Street~
and Pico Boulevard (excluding Eleventh Street)~ all in the City of
Santa Monica, as more fully described in Resolution Number 6016
(eeS) and therein declared to be the property to be assessed to
pay the expense of the improvement, is approved and the City Clerk
is directed to execut the certificate on the diagram certifying
such approval and to deliver the diagram to the Superintendent of
Streets.
SECTION 3. That the assessment for the construction of
a high-pressure sodium street lighting system and appurtenant
work in the area bounded by Lincoln Boulevard~ Santa Monica
Freeway ~
Fourteenth
Street, and Pica Boulevard (excluding

be and the same hereby is confirmed and approved.
SECTION 4.
That the Superintendent of Streets shall
forthwith attach a warrant to said assessment bearing the date of
this confirmation
SECTION 5.
That the City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this Resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
