RESOLUTION NO. 6420

A RESOLUTION or THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DECLARING
CERTAIN WEEDS GROWING UPON CERTAIN
LANDS WITHIN THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
TO BE A PUBLIC NUISANCE
WHEREAS~ there are weeds growlng upon the streets,
sldewalks, and upon certain lots in the City of Santa MODlca,
which bear seeds of a wlngy or downy nature or attain such a
large growth as to become a fire menace when dry and are other-
wise noxious and dangerous, and
WHEREAS, there are accumulations of rubbish, refuse,
and dirt upon certain streets, sidewalks, and lots in the City
of Santa Monica,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY or SANTA
MONICA RESOLVES AS fOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That all weeds growing upon the streets,
sidewalks, or upon certain lots in the City of Santa Monica,
which bear seeds of a wingy or downy nature or attain such a
large growth as to become a fire menace when dry or which are
otherwise noxious or dangerous are hereby declared to be a
public nUlsance.
SECTION 2. That pursuant to Government Code Section
39561, all rubbish, refuse, and dlrt accumulated upon streets,
sidewalks, or upon certain lots ln the City of Santa Monica
are hereby declared to be a public nUlsance,
