RESOLUTION NO. 6426
(CITY COUNCIL SERIES)

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA MONICA ORDERING THE CONSTRUCTION OF
HIGH PRESSURE SODIUM STREET LIGHTING ON
TWENTY-FIFTH STREET BETWEEN PEARL AND OCEAN
PARK BOULEVARD. ALL WITHIN THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA.
WHEREAS! the City Council of the City of Santa Monica.
on the 10th day of November. adopted Resolution Number 6401 (CCS)
setting a public hearing; and
WHEREAS. written notices of said improvement have been
given in the manner required by law; and
WHEREAS. any and all written objections and protests to
the work or the extent of the district to be assessed were heard
and considered by the City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That the public convenience and necessity
require the construction of high pressure sodium street lighting
on Twenty-fifth Street between Pearl and Ocean Park Boulevard, all
within the City of Santa Monica.

SECTION 2.
That all protests and objections of every
kind and nature to the construction of the high pressure sodium
street lighting on Twenty-fifth Street between Pearl and Ocean
Park Boulevard, all within the City of Santa Monica, be and the
same are hereby overruled and denied.
SECTION 3. That pursuant to Streets and Highways Code
Section 5880, the Superintendent of Streets is directed to
commence the construction of high pressure sodium street lighting
on Twenty-fifth Street above described if the construction is not
commenced and prosecuted to completion with due diligence by any
property as required by Streets and Highways Code Section 5879.
SECTION 4.
That the City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
