R-6441 ~~~ ~ GS:SES:MH:KS ~ Santa Monica, californ4lt Council Meeting February 9, 1982 RESOLUTION NO. 6441(CCS) (City Council Series) A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA APPROVING ASSESSMENT DIAGRAM AND CONFIRMING ASSESSMENT FOR SUNSET AVENUE BETWEEN SEVENTEENTH STREET AND DEWEY STREET. WHEREAS, the City of Santa Monica, pursuant to Section 5100 et seq. of the Streets and Highways Code~ commenced proceedings to construct street lighting and appurtenant work on Sunset Avenue between Seventeenth Street and Dewey Street; and WHEREAS, the proceeding is more fully described in the Resolution of Intention adopted by the City Council on October 14, 1980, being Resolution No. 6099 (CCS); and WHEREAS, the contract for the above-described work has been fulfilled to the satisfaction of the Superintendent of Streets; and WHEREAS, the Superintendent of Streets has made an assessment to cover the sum due for the work performed and specified in the contract; and WHEREAS, the assessment has been filed with the City Clerk; and t - ~ GS:SES:MH:KS 4It Santa Monica, Californ~ Council Meeting February 9, 1982 WHEREAS, the City Clerk gave the notice reQuired by Section 5362 of the Streets and Highways Code; and WHEREAS, upon the day and hour fixed for hearing by the City Clerk, the City Council of the City of Santa Monica heard and passed upon any an all objections, appeals, and protests, NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That all objections, appeals, and protests of every kind and nature be and the same are hereby overruled and denied. SECTION 2. That the diagram of property affected and benefited by the construction of a high-pressure sodium street lighting system and appurtenant work on Sunset Avenue between Seventeenth Street and Dewey Street, all in the City of Santa Monica, as more fully described in Resolution No. 6099 (CCS) and therein declared to be the property to be assessed to pay the expense of the improvement, is approved and the City Clerk is directed to execute the certificate on the diagram certifying such approval and to deliver the diagram to the Superintendent of Streets. . That the assessment for the construction of a high-pressure sodium street lighting system and appurtenant work on Sunset Avenue between Seventeenth Street and Dewey Street, as more fully described in Resolution No. 6099 (CCS)l be and the same hereby is confirmed and approved. SECTION 4. That the Superintendent of Streets shall forthwith attach a warrant to said assessment bearing the date of this confirmation. SECTION 5. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect. APPROVED AS TO FORM: ~~ Ro bert M.
