A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF S~~TA MONICA AUTHORIZING FILING
OF APPLICATION FOR CALIFO~~IA CO~~UNITY
CRIME RESISTA..~CE GRANT FUNDS.
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Monica desires to undertake
a certain project designated Communi~y Cr~e Resistance Program to
be funded in part.from funds made ava11able through State General
Funds Fiscal Year 1981/1982 as authorized by Chapter 578 of the
~ - .~:-.
1978 Statutes for the California Community Crime Resistance Program,
administered by the 'Office of Crim1na1 Justice Plann1ng (hereafter
referred to as OCJP) ,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The C1ty ~~nager is authorized on behalf of
the C1ty of Santa Monica to submit the attached App11cation for Grant
for La~ Enforcement Purposes to OCJP and is author1zed to execute on
behalf of the City of Santa Monica the attached Grant Award for law
enforca~ent purposes 1nclud1ng any extensions or amen~~ents thereof.
SECTION 2. The City or Santa Monica agrees to provide all
matching funds required for said project (including any extension
or amendment thereof) under the Cow~unity Crime Resistance P=ogram
and the rules and regulations of OCJP and that cash will be appropriated
as reqU1red thereby.

be used to supplant law enforcement expenditures controlled by the
C~ty Council.
SECTION 4. The C~ty Clerk shall certi=y to the adoption of
th~s Resolut~onF and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in
full force and effect.
