A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA MONICA DECLARING
APRIL 25 THROUGH MAY 1, 1982
AS CONSUMERS WEEK
WHEREAS, April 25 through May 1, 1982 has been
declared National Consumers Week; and
WHEREAS, National Consumers Week is intended to
focus attention on consumers as the center of economic
activity, as well as the importance of consumer awareness
and understanding; and
WHEREAS, National Consumers Week will use as its
slogan "Consumers Count Everywhere";
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. April 25 through May 1, 1982 is declared
to be Consumers Week in the City of Santa Monica.
SECTION 2. The City Council supports the importance
of consumer awareness and understanding.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this Resolution, and thenceforth and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
