A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA MONICA AUTHORIZING THE ESTABLISHMENT~
USE AND INVESTMENT OF ONE OR MORE DEPOSIT ACCOUNTS
WITH CERTAIN BANKS AND SAVINGS AND LOAN ASSOCIATIONS;
AUTHORIZING FACSIMILE SIGNATURES BY THOMAS E. MORTON
AND KAY WATANABE; AND AUTHORIZING CERTAIN OFFICERS AND
EMPLOYEES TO ENTER SAFE DEPOSIT BOX "B" AT
THE FIRST INTERSTATE BANK
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That the City of Santa Monlca, a
muniClpal corporatlon, establlshes in lts name one or more
deposlt accounts wlth the All1ance Bank of Culver Clty,
Amerlcan Clty Bank, Amerlcan Paclflc State Bank~ Bank of
Amerlca National Trust and Savlngs Associatlon, Bank of
Beverly Hllls, Bank of Marlna Del Rey, Brentwood Bank,
Callfornia First Bank, Callfornla Korea Bank, Century Bank,
Clty National Bank, Chase Manhattan Bank, New York~ New York,
Crocker Natlonal Bank, Flrst Paclflc Bank, Flrst Women's Bank
of Callfornla, French Bank of Callfornla, Gol den State Sanwa
Bank, Impenal Bank ~ lloyds Bank of Call fornla, Manufacturers

SECTION 3. That Thomas E. Morton, Actlng Dlrector
of Flnance/C1ty Controller, and Kay Watanabe, C1ty Treasurer,
be and they hereby are authorlzed to wlthdraw funds from sald
accounts upon warrants and/or checks signed as prov1ded
hereln wlth signatures duly cert1f1ed to said banks by the
Clty Clerk of the Clty of Santa Monlca, and sald banks are
hereby authorlzed to honor and pay any and all warrants
and/or checks slgned, 1nclud1ng those drawn to the 1ndiv1dual
order or any off1cer or other person authorlzed to sign the
same.
SECTION 4. That the Santa Mon1ca off1ce of the
Santa Monlca Bank, Flrst Interstate Bank, the Bank of America
Nat10nal Trust and Savlngs AssOc1at1on, as des1gnated
depos1torles of the Clty, be and they, lnclud1ng the1r
correspondent banks, hereby are requested, author1zed, and
directed to honor all checks, drafts, or other orders for the
payment of money drawn to the lndivldual order of any person
or persons whose names appear thereon as slgner or slgners
thereof, when beanng or purporting to bear the facsim1l e
slgnatures of Thomas E. Morton and Kay Watanabe 1n 11eu of
sa1d person's manual slgnature; provided that all preV10US
author1zat1ons for the slgn1ng and honorlng of checks,
drafts, or other orders for the payment of money drawn on
sa1d banks by the C1ty hereby are cont1nued 1n full force and
effect as ampllf1ed hereby.

SECTION 5.
That the Clty of Santa Monlca, a
municlpa1 corporatlon, has rented safe deposlt box uBu at the
Flrst Interstate Bank, and that Thomas E. Morton, Actlng
Dlrector of Flnance/City Controll er, or Kay Watanabe, Clty
Treasurer, JOlntly wlth J. L. Wllbur, License and Permit
Supervisor, or Esmeralda Kelley, be and they are hereby
authorlzed to enter sald safe deposit box.
SECTION 6. The provlslons of thlS Reso1utlon shall
be effective April 2, 1982. Resol ution Number 6082 (CCS) and
all other Reso1utlons In conf1lCt herewlth are repealed
effectl ve Aprl1 2, 1982.
SECTION 7.
The Clty Clerk shall certlfy to the
adoptlon of thlS Reso1utlon, and thenceforth and thereafter
the same shall be 1 n full force and effect.
