A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA SETTING A PUBLIC HEA~ING
ON A NEGATIVE DECLARATION OF
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT OF ORDINANCE
NUMBER ll39, RELATING TO DISCRI-
MINATION IN HOUSING OF THE BASIS
OF AGE, AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION
THEREOF.
WHEREAS, the City Attorney's Office has applied
for a Negative Declarat~on of Environmental Impact relating
to Ordinance #1139{CCS), commonly known as The Falr
Housing for Children Ordinance, and
WHEREAS, the Environmental Impact ReVlew Committee has
determined, in accordance wlth the procedures established
by Resolutlon t435l(CCS), that the proposed activlty will
not have a substantial adverse effect upon the envlronment,
and
WHEREAS, it is appropriate that a public hearing be
held to receive comments prior to the final adoption of this
Negative Declaration;
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE:
SECTION 1. A public hearing on the Negat1ve Declaration
regarding Ordlnance #ll39 shall be held before the City
Councll at the February 26, 1980, Council meeting.

SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall cause notice of this
public hearing to be published in the Evening Outlook
according law.

SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter
the same shall be in full force and effect.
