RESOLUTION NO. 5480
(CITY COUNCIL SERIES)
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ~10NICA ORDERING THE VACATION OF A PORTION
OF THAT CERTAIN STREET KNOWN AS TWENTY-SECOND
STREET IN THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA, CALIFORNIA.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Santa Monica
havlng heard the evidence offered in relation to the proposed vacation
of that portlon of the street known as Twenty-Second Street, 60 feet
wide, between Pennsylvania Ave. and Olympic Blvd., as shown on t1ap of
Erkenbrecker Syndicate Santa Monica Tract recorded in Map Book 6, pages
26 and 27, in the office of the Recorder of Los Angeles County, hereby
finds from all of the evidence submitted that the portion of the street
above referred to and proposed to be vacated by Resolutlon No. 5440 (City
Council Series) lS unnecessary for present or prospective street purposes.
For full partlculars reference hereby is ~ade to sald Resolutlon 5440
(City Council Series) and to Map No. 4241 on file in the office of the
City Clerk of said City; which ~ap is entltled, "Map Showing Portion
of Twenty-Second Street to be Vacated Under the Provlsions of the Street
Vacation Act of 1941." dated October II, 1979.
SECTION 2. The Clty Council of the City of Santa Monica,
in vacating said portion of Twenty-Second Street reserves the street
as a storm water conductor to the existlng catch basins at its northerly
terminus and any changes In the drainage shall be approved by the City
Engineer.

SECTION 3. It is, therefore. ordered that said portion
of Twenty-Second Street as shown on the City of Santa Monica Drawing
No. 4241, dated October 11, 1979. is hereby vacated.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution and the same shall be in full force and effect on
and after
January 15,
, 1980. The City Clerk shall also
cause a copy of this resolution to be recorded in the office of the
County Recorder of the County of Los Angeles.
