RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF AN APPLICATION FOR SIXTH YEAR
COMMUNITY DEVELOP1ffiNT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS UNDER THE HOUSING
AND CO~11UNITY DEVELOPMENT ACT.
WHEREAS, the City Councll of the City of Santa Monica
held public hearings to receive comments on community development
performance, to determine community development and houslng needs,
and to review the draft applicatlon; and
WHEREAS, a survey of houslng condltions was conducted
in the Clty of Santa Monlca; and
WHEREAS, a Citizen Participation Plan was developed
to provide citizens with adequate information concerning the
amount of funds available for proposed community development and
housing act~vities, the range of activities that may be under-
taken and other lmportant requirements; and
WHEREAS, citizens were provided an adequate opportunity
to participate in the development of the application and in the
development of any revisions, changes or amendments; and
WHEREAS, on January 22, 1980, the City Council
approved a flnal appllcation for submlss10n to State and local
clearinghouses in compllance with OMB Circular A-95 clearing-
house requirements and approval of certiflcations required with
the application.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of
Santa Nonlca possesses legal author~ty to apply for the grant
and to execute the proposed program.
SECTION 2. That the Clty Counc~l authorizes the
fll~ng of the appllcation, including all understand~ngs and
assurances contained therein.
SECTION 3. That the Clty Counc1l deslgnate the Clty
Manager as the authorlzed representative of the City of Santa
Monlca to act in connection with the appllcation and to provide
such addit10nal inforrnatlon as may be requlred.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of thlS resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
