RESOLUTIO~ NO. 5487
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAKTA MO~ICA ESTABLISHING THE
PAY BENEFITS A~D WORKI~G CO~DITIONS FOR
ATTORNEY MEMBERS OF THE LEGAL STAFF.
WHEREAS ~ meet and confer sess lons have been unden..-ay for morB
than three months and have constituted a Ninimum of twenty sessions,
and further negotiatlons would be futile; and
WHEREAS, the City Councll has determined that ample opportuni-
ties to meet and confer as required by the Meyers~ ~lilias, Brown
Act and Ordinance 801 of the City of Santa ~lonica has been offered
to the professlonal employees of the City AttorneyTs Offlce, and
WHEREAS, agreement has not been reached as a result of the
meet and confer process~ and
WHEREAS, the City Council has prevlously made tentative in-
terlm adjustments to wages, hours and other terms and condltions
of employment hoping to facilitate agreement; and
WHEREAS, the best lnterests of the Clty would be served by re-
solvlng the issue of wages, hours and other terms and conditions of
employment for professlonal employees of the City Attorney's office.
~OW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUKCIL HEREBY RESOLVES THE FOLLOWI~G:
1. The wages, hours and other terms and condltions of employ-
ment for professlonal employees of the City Attorney's offlce are
established in Exhlblt I attached hereto and made a part of thlS
resolution as lf set forth In full herein.
