A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA MOKICA COM~ENDING HENRIETTA
KIMBERLI~G FOR HER DEDICATED SERVICE TO
THE CITY OF SANTA MOXICA.
WHEREAS, HEKRIETTA (HARI E) KHlBERLI:\G entered Cl ty eJllploymen t
ln 194i, and
WHEREAS, Slnce 1950 she has falthfully served as Secretary
to the Mayor and City Councll, and
WHEREAS, during her approxlmately thirty years in that POS1-
tion she has provlded dedlcated support and assistance to fifteen
:layors of the City of Santa :.-lonlca, and
WHEREAS, Marle Kimberling has assisted many cltlzens and
groups in her role as a communications link between themselves
and their elected representatives, the Mayors and Members of the
City Councils, and
WHEREAS, Marie Kimberllng's career has been distlnguished by
her ability to get along wlth all people and by her genuine in-
terest in the welfare of each lndivldual wlth whom she has come
into contact, and
WHEREAS, Marie Klmberling has spent many additional hours ln
service to the community through her partlclpatlon In the Sister
Cltles Assoclation and to her fellow employees as member of the
Santa ~fonica City Employees Credlt Union Supervlsory Commlttee,
and
WHEREAS, Marle Klmberling in her dealings wlth all indlvl-
duals has been gUlded by the concepts to which the Santa Nonlca
City Hall was dedicated - truth, llberty and tolerance;

~OW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COU~CIL OF THE CITY OF SA~TA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTIO~ 1. Marie KimberlIng is hereby commended for her
years of faithful and dedlcated service to the CIty of Santa
Monica and ltS citizens.
SECTIO~ 2. The CIty Council of the City of Santa ~onlca
on behalf of itself and on behalf of the cltizens of this com-
munIty, expresses ltS profund appreClatlon to Marie Kimberllng
for her long and falthful service.
SECTIO~ 3. The City Clerk lS directed to send a certified
copy of this resolution to ~arle Kimberling, and
SECTION 4. The City Clerk Shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the same
shall be in full force and effect.
