R-5502 .~ t" ~ e_ e_ RESOLUTION 5502 (City Council Series) A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT GUTTERS ALONG COLORADO AVENUE BETWEEN OCEAN AVENUE AND LINCOLN BOULEVARD WITH THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA WHEREASt the City Council of the City of Santa Monica is empowered by Section 5870, et seq. of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California to construct gutters at varlOUS locatlons within the City of Santa Monica; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS; SECTION 1. That the public interest requires and it is the lntention of the Clty Council of the City of Santa Monica to order the following work to be done, to wit: The construction of concrete gutters along Colorado Avenue from Ocean Avenue to Lincoln Boulevard all in the Clty of Santa Monica. The estimated assessment cost of the improvement is $5.00 per front foot. SECTION 2. That said proposed work or improvement in the opinion of the City Council of the City of Santa ~onlca is of more than local or ordinary public beneflt, and sald Council hereby proposes that the district in the City of Santa Monlca to be benefited by said work or improvement and to be assessed to pay the cost and expense thereof, includes all of the property abutting Colorado Avenue between Ocean Avenue and Lincoln Boulevard. SECTION 3. Notice hereby is given pursuant to said Sectlon 5870 et seq. that on March 25, 1980, at the hour of 7:30 p.m. in the Counc,l Chambers in the City Hall of sald City of Santa Monica, situated ~' t ee e_ at 1685 Main St. in sald City, any and all persons having any objections to the proposed work or improvement may appear before the Clty Council and show cause why the said proposed work or improvement should not be carried out in accordance with said Resolution of Intention. SECTION 4. The Superintendent of Streets immediately shall cause to be consplcuously posted along the 11ne of said contemplated lmprovement notice of the passage of this Resolution of Intention in the manner and form prescrlbed by law. The City Clerk hereby is directed to mail not1ce, in the manner and fDrm prescribed by law, Df the adoptlon of thlS resulut10n to all persons owning real property 1n the hereinbefDre described assessment d1strlct, whose names and addresses appear Dn the last equalized assessment roll for clty taxes or as known to the City Clerk. SECTION 5. The Clty Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
