A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA MONICA AMENDING RESOLUTION
NO.5487 TO ADJUST SALARIES OF CERTAIN
EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY ATTORNEY'OFFICE
WHEREAS, The City Council adopted Resolution No. 5487 on
January 30th, 1980, which resolution establishes the wages, hours
and other terms and conditions of employment for professional
employees of the City Attorney's office, and
WHEREAS, said resolution had the effect of granting in-
creases of less than 7% to certain professional employees of the
City Attorney's office; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the best
interests of the C~ty would be served by granting a conditional
7% increase to said employees,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL HEREBY RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING.
1. That the salary levels for the following employees shall
be raised to an amount 7% higher than their salaries as of January
2, 1980

Charles Horan $1,999
Michael Miller $1,999
Seth Weisbord $1,999
Gary Yana $2,117
2 Said 7% increase shall be retroactively applied to the
effective salaries of said employees during the period commencing with
the first pay period in July, 1979 to acceptance of the 7% interim
offer by said employees.
3. Said 7% ~ncrease shall be granted on a "Y -rated" basis
"Y-rated" shall mean maintenance of the salaries specified above
at that level until cost of living increases specified in Resolution
No. 5487 cause the salaries for said employees establ~shed on

bench mark points, whichever occurs first. The salaries established
on adoption of Resolution No. 5487 were as follows.
