A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA ORDERING THE PLANTING OF TREES ALONG
SANTA MONICA BLVD. BETWEEN 20TH STREET AND 23RD
STREET, IN ACCORDANCE WITH RESOLUTION OF INTENTION#5506
(CITY COUNCIL SERIES)
WHEREAS, the City Councll of the City of Santa Monica, on the
26th day of February~ 1980, passed and adopted lts Resolutlon of Intentlon,
being Resolution No. 5506 (Clty Council Series), to order the work described
thereln to be done, which ln accordance with sald Resolution of Intentlon
duly and leqally notlces of said improvement have been given in the manner
required by law and any and all written objections and protests to the work
or the extent of the district to be assessed were heard and considered by the
Clty Councll.
NOW~ THEREFORE. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the public interest requires~ and the City Councll
of the City of Santa Monica hereby orders the tree plantlng described in
sald Resolution of Intention to be done along Santa Monlca Boulevard between
20th Street and 23rd Street withln the City of Santa Monica. That all of
sald protests and objections of every klnd and nature to the proposed work
or to the extent of the dlstrict to be assessed be and the same hereby are
overruled and denled.
SECTION 2. That Street Superlntendent hereby is dlrected to
commence the tree planting above descrlbed after a 60-day period wherever
the property owners have not started the tree planting project themselves.
