A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA ORDERING THE PLANTING OF TREES ALONG
SANTA MONICA BLVD. BETWEEN 23TH STREET AND 26TH
STREET, IN ACCORDANCE WITH RESOLUTION OF INTENTION
(CITY COUNCIL SERIES)
WHEREAS. the City Council of the City of Santa Monica, on the
11th day of March, 1980, passed and adopted its Resolution of Intention,
being Resolutlon No.5530 (City Council Serles). to order the work described
therein to be done. which in accordance with said Resolutlon of Intentlon.
duly and legally notices of said lmprovement have been given in the manner
requlred by law and any and all wrltten obJections and protests to the work
or the extent of the district to be assessed were heard and considered by
the Clty Council,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the public lnterest requires, and the City Council
of the City of Santa Monica hereby orders the tree planting described in
said Resolutlon of Intentlon to be done along Santa Monlca Boulevard between
23rd Street and 26th Street within the City of Santa Monica. That all of
said protests and obJections of every klnd and nature to the proposed work
or to the extent of the dlstrlct to be assessed be the same hereby are
overruled and denied.
SECTION 2. That Street Superintendent hereby is directed to
commence the tree planting above described after the 60-day perlod wherever
the property owners have not started the tree plantlng project themselves.

SECTION 3. Reference hereby is made to sald Resolutlon of
Intention for a map of the assessment district, and for further particulars.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of thlS
resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force
and effect.
