A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA CONFIRMING THE REPORT OF THE SUPER-
INTENDENT OF STREETS REGARDING REPAIRS TO DAMAGED
SIOEWALKS, DRIVEWAYS AND CURBS
WHEREAS, the Street Superintendent of the City of Santa Monica, pur-
suant to Section 5600 to 5630 of the Streets and Highways Code, commenced
proceedings to cause the repair of damaged sldewalkss driveways and curbs
in the Clty of Santa Monlca, and
WHEREAS, sixty (60) days after sald order was served, the work had
not been completed by the owners or persons in posseSSlon of the affected
properties, and the Superintendent of Streets caused the work to be done; and
WHEREAS, the Superintendent of Streets did file with the City
Council of the City of Santa Monica his reports of such work, and a hearlng
thereon was called by Resolution No. 5483 (C.C.S.); and
WHEREAS, the C1ty Council conducted a noticed hearing to consider
any protests or objections to the Reports of the Work.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the Report of Work of the Superlntendent of
Streets heretofore filed and above descrlbed, be and the same is hereby
confirmed.
SECTION 2. That all of said protests and objections of every
kind and nature to the repairs or to the assessments and all appeals therefrom
to said City Council be and the same hereby are overruled and denled.

SECTION 3.
That the cost of the repairs~ as set forth in said
Report, shall be assessed against the propertles herein described, which
properties front upon the improvement so constructed.
SECTION 4. That if such assessment is not paid within the
time permitted by law the same shall constitute a special assessment and
lien agalnst the propertles therein descrlbed, ln the amount set forth
in said Report, which lien shall contlnue untll the assessment and all
interest thereon is pald.
SECTION 5. That if the assessment is not paid withln the
time permitted~ the City Clerk shall dellver a Notice of Lien, signed by
the Superintendent of Streets, as provided in Section 5626 of the Streets
and Highways Code of the State of California, to the County Assessor and
Tax Collector, who, in accordance with applicable law, shall collect said
assessment, together with all other taxes relating to such property.
SECTION 6. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution.
