RESOLUTION NO. 5565
CITY COUNCIL SERIES
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA ORDERING THE CONSTRUCTION OF CONCRETE GUTTERS ON
SECOND STREET AND FOURTH STREET BETWEEN COLORADO AVENUE
AND BROADWAY.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Monica, on the
25th day of March, 1980, passed and adopted its Resolution of Intention,
being Resolution No. 5542 (City Council Series), to order the work described
therein to be done, which in accordance with said Resolution of Intention
duly and legally notices were posted along the line of the proposed project
and written notices of said improvement have been given in the manner required
by law and any and all written objections and protests to the work or the
extent of the district to be assessed were heard and considered by the City
Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the public interest requires, and the City Council
of the City of Santa Monica hereby orders the construction of concrete
gutters described in said Resolution of Intention to be done along Second
Street and Fourth Street between Colorado and Broadway within the City of
Santa Monica. That all of said protests and objections of every kind and
nature to the proposed work or to the extent of the district to be assessed
be and the same hereby are overruled and denied.
SECTION 2. That Street Superintendent hereby is dlrected to commence
the construction of concrete gutters above described after a 50-day period
wherever the property owners have not started the gutter construction
themselves.
