RESOLUTI ON NO. 5590
(CITY COUNCIL SERIES)
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA SETTING A HEARING DATE FOR ANY PROTESTS OR OBJECTIONS
TO THE REPORT OF THE SUPERINTENDENT OF STREETS REGARDING
REPAIR OF SIDEWALKS, DRIVEWAYS AND CURBS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE
AS FOLLOHS:
SECTION 1. That the Superintendent of Streets wlll file a report
of work pursuant to Dlvislon 7. Chapter 22, Sections 5600 and 5630 of the
Streets and Hlghways Code of the State of Cal1fornia. relating to the
construction of certain improvements to sldewalks and driveways.
SECTION 2. That pursuant to Section 5600 et seq. of sald code
the City Council does hereby order and declare that on the 8th day of July,
1980. in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, it will hear and pass upon
any and all obJections or protests to the report of work of the Superintendent
of Streets and the amount of the assessment assigned aqainst the real
property described 1n sald report.
SECTION 3. That all protests or obJections must be in writlnQ and
filed wlth the City Clerk on or before the time set for hearlng of protests
and objections.
SECTION 4. The Street Superintendent hereby is directed to mail
notices, 1n the manner and form prescribed by law, of the adoption of this
resolution to all persons owning real property affected by the sidewalk
assessment repalr program, whose names and addresses appear on the last
equalized assessment roll for the city taxes or as known to the City Clerk.

SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certlfy to the adoptlon of
thlS resolutlon and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full
force and effect.
