A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA MONICA WAIVING FURTHER FORMAL BID
PROCEDURE AND AUTHORIZING DIRECT NEGOTIATION
FOR REBUILDING A LEACH PACKMASTER RUBBISH TRUCK
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Monica Sanitation Department
has a requirement for refurbishing a rubbish truck; and
\~REAS, the truck equipment must be rebuild this fiscal
year; and
WHEREAS, to the best of Staff1s knowledge no company is
interested in supplying this service; and
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS
SECTION 1. That the City Council finds that the require-
rnent exists to rebuild the packmaster truck
SECTION 2. That further bid solicitation would cause
unnecessary expense and delay_
SECTION 3
That the City Manager is authorized to find a
vendor through negotiations to perform the rebuilding, and is
hereby authorized to excute a purchase agreement for the service.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter t~e same shall
be in full force and effect.
