A RESOLUTION Of THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY Of
SANTA MONICA INCREASING THE PARKING METER BAG
USAGE fEES AND ESTABLISHING A FLAT RATE CHARGE
FOR THE PLACEMENT AND REMOVAL OF PARKING METER
BAGS AND THE DELIVERY AND PICK-UP OF BARRICADES
WHEREAS, the existing fee for the use of parking meter bags
is not consistent with the revenue generated from a parking meter, and
WHEREAS, there is no charge for the placement of and removal
of the parking meter bags and the delivery and pick-up of barricades
by City Staff, and
WHEREAS, the use of parking meter bags and barricades is for
the benefit of private individuals or groups,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Santa Monica
authorize a charge of two dollars per meter per day for the use of
parking meter bags.
SECTION 2. That the City Council authorize a charge of
25 dollars for the placement and removal of parking meter bags.
SECTION 3. That the City Council authorize a charge of
25 dollars for the delivery and piCk-up of barricades.
SECTION 4. That any person or group wishing exemption from
any of the charges included in th1S Resolution may make application
through the Traffic Engineer for such exemptions to be approved by
the City Council.

SECTION 5. The C1ty Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in
full force and effect.
