RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA AUTHORIZING THE SETTING OF A
JOINT PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER THE PROPOSED
DISPOSITION OF REAL PROPERTY BY THE REDEVELOPMENT
AGENCY IN THE OCEAN PARK REDEVELOP~ENT PROJECT
l(b) TO UNITED STATES CONDOMINIU~ CORPORATION.
WHEREAS, in furtherance of the objectlves of the Community
Redevelopment Law, the Agency is engaged ln carrying out the Ocean
Park Redevelopment Project l(b) (referred to herein as the "projectU) ~
and,
WHEREAS, there has been prepared and approved by the Agency
an Urban Renewal Plan for the ProJect, consisting of a Redevelopment
Plan for Ocean Park Redevelopment Project l(b) adopted January 17, 1961,
by Ordinance No. 516 of the Clty, as amended January 26, 1965, by
Ordlnance No. 667 of the City, and September 12, 1972, by Ordinance
No. 896 of the Clty~ as it may be modlfied or amended in accordance
wlth the provisions of the Community Redevelopment Law~ and,
WHEREAS, the Agency certified an Environmental Impact Report
for the ProJect on July 13, 1976, by Resolution No. 334 (R.A.S.) of
the Agency; and,
WHEREAS, the Agency proposes to enter lnto a Disposition and
Development Agreement wlth the United States CondoniniUM Corporatlon
for the sale of certain land wlthln the Project (generally, the area
bounded by Neilson Way, Barnard Way, Ocean Park Boulevard, and the

southerly City boundary of Santa Monica, more fully described in the
proposed Agreement), and the development of said land (hereinafter,
the "Property") for uses in accordance with the Redevelopment Plan; and,
WHEREAS, the California Communlty Redevelopment Law (Section
33433) requires that the legislative body hold a public hearing prior
to the approval of the sale of any proJect land by the Agency.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. A public hearing of the City Council of the City
of Santa Monica is set for June 24, 1980, at 7:00 p.m., to be held
Jointly with the public hearing of the Redevelopment Agency of the City
of Santa Honica.
SECTION 2. The City Council shall conslder the proposed
dlSposltlon by the Redevelopment Agency of real property in the Ocean
Park Redevelopment ProJect l(b) to the United States Condominium
Corporatlon.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall cause notice of thlS hearlnq
to be publlshed in the Evening Outlook, a newspaper of general
circulation, on the 10th day of June 1980, and on the 17th day of June,
1980, for the purpose of glvlng interested persons an opportunlty to be
heard on the matter to be consldered.
SECTION 4. The Clty Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in
full force and effect.
