RESOLUTION NO. 6007
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA MONICA TRANSFERRING TITLE
OF CERTAIN EQUIPMENT TO BUILDING WOMEN, INC.
WHEREAS, Equipment was purchased with CETA funds to perform
maintenance and rehabilitation services for low income homeowners
and non-profit organizations.
vlliEREAS. former CETA participants have formed a non-profit
corporation entitled Building Women. Inc, whose purpose is to
provide construction-related rehabilitation services to low and
fixed income people.
WHEREAS. CETA regulations allow transfer of title to equipment
purchased under CETA to a community agency when the service originally
provided under CETA continues to be offered by that agency.
WHEREAS, The County of Los Angeles has transferred title for
these tools to the City for disposition to the Building Women.
NOW, THEREFORE. THE CITY COUNCIL HEREBY RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING;
1. The City hereby accepts title to the equipment identified
in Exhibit I. attached hereto and made a part of this resolution
as if set forth in full herein, from the County of Los Angeles~
2. The Title to the equipment identified in said Exhibit I
is hereby transferred to Building Women. Inc.
