A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA WAIVING COMPETITIVE BIDDING AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND
EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR THE REPAIR OF MEMORIAL
PARK GYMNASIUM DOORS.
WHEREAS. the City has sought qualified contractors over an extended
period; and.
WHEREAS, only one qualified contractor has been found; and,
WHEREAS. formal bid procedure would entail additional expense and
delay with no assurance of tangible benefit to the City;
NOW, THEREFORE. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council finds that formal bid procedure
in this instance would entail additional expense and delay with no assurance
of tangible benefit to the Clty.
SECTION 2. The City Manager is authorized to negotiate and execute
a contract for the repair of th~ Memorial Park gymnasium doors.
