A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUKCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
RECITI~G THE FACT OF THE ELECTION HELD IN SAID CITY OF SANTA
MONICA OX THE 26TH DAY OF JUNE, 1979, AND ADOPTI~G THE STATE-
~ENT OF RESULTS OF VOTES CAST.
WHEREAS, a Special MunIcipal Election was held and conducted
ln the Clty of Santa Monica in Los Angeles County, State of California,
on Tuesday, the 26th day of June, 1979, as requIred by law;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAXTA ~lONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTIO~ 1. That there were 54 consolIdated voting preCIncts
and that the total number of ballots cast was 16,200.
SECTIOK 2. That the following persons were elected as members
of the Rent Control Board of the Clty of Santa ~lonica for the following

I, Joyce Snider, CIty Clerk of the City of Santa Monica hereby certify
the following:
That at the Special MuniCIpal Election held June 26, 1979, as provided
for by the Charter of the City of Santa MonIca and the ElectIons Code

of the State of California, there were 54 consolidated votIng precincts
establIshed within the boundarIes of the City of Santa Monica; that
the absent voter ballots were canvassed by a Board appoInted by the
City Clerk as provided for in the State of Californla Elections Code
and that the official canvass was commenced by the City Clerk on
June 27, 1979, and completed on July 2, 1979; that the votlng was done
by electric vote recording equipment (IBM) In accordance with the
prOVISIons of the State of California Elections Code; that there were
a total of 16,200 ballots cast; that the following were candIdates for
the various offices:
