AND RAT IFYING A MEHORANDUM OF
UNDE?STANDING BET1ffiEN THE CIT~ OF
SANTA }-lONICA AND SANTA ~10NlCA POLICE
OFFICERS ASSOCIATION
ymEP~AS. Section 2.06 of Ordinance 801 (CCS) of the City
of SAt~TA ~fONICA requires the preparation a~ a written Memorandum
of Understanding between the administration and recognized emo1oyee
organizations. if an agreement can be reached, arid
'~EREAS, Section 2.06 of Ordinance 801 (CCS) of the
City of Santa Monica further provides that any such Memorandum
of Understanding shall not be binding and shall be presented to
the governing body for ratification.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Santa
Monica does resolve as follows.
SECTION 1.
The City Council does hereby approve, and
authorize the City l1anager to execute that certain Hemorandum
of Understanding between the City of Santa Monica and Santa Monica
Police Of.ficers Association.
SECTION 1. The City Clerk shall certi=y to the adoption
o~ this resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall
be in full force and effect.
