A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA REQUESTING AN ALLOCATION AND PAYMENT
OF COUNTY AID TO CITIES FUNDS FOR THE MAINTENANCE
OF SELECT SYSTEM STREETS (C-88)
WHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles has appropriated certain
monies to the City of Santa Monica as County Aid to Cities; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to expend the amount of
$138,717 of said funds accrued to the City for the maintenance of streets
on the City1s approved Select System.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The County of Los Angeles is hereby requested to
allocate $126,227 of the Aid to Cities (A.T.C.) plus $12,490 of Federal Aid
Transportation (F.A.T.) funds apportioned to the City for the maintenance
of those streets on the currently approved Select System of Streets (excluding
State Highways), on file wlth the Department of Transportation, State of
California, and incorporated herein by reference.
SECTION 2. After the allocation is approved by the Board of
Supervisors and funds are available, the County is requested to send such
allocated amount to the City. The City will begin using the funds for the
street maintenance according to the terms of the allocation.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full
force and effect.

SECTION 4. That the City Engineer shall forward a certified
copy of this resolution to the Los Angeles County Road Commissioner for
proces.sing.
