RESOLUTION NO. 5358 CCS.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA MONICA APPROVING THE LEASEI
PURCHASE OF A DUPLICATING MACHINE AND
AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT.
WHEREAS. the City of Santa Monica currently is leasing a Xerox
9200 Duplicating Machine with 50-bin collator; and
WHEREAS. the opportunity exists to acquire this machine on a
five (5) year lease/purchase agreement at a total cost less than the
current lease/rental plan; and
WHEREAS, the City will enjoy significant savings and will
acquire title to this equipment with no initial capital outlay.
NOW, THEREFORE. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the lease/purchase of the Xerox 9200 Duplicating
Machine would be advantageous to the City.
SECTION 2. That the lease/purchase of this equipment is approved.
SECTION 3. That formal bidding procedures would incur unecessary
expence and delay.
SECTION 4. That the City Manager is authorized to execute the
lease/purchase contract and related financing agreements.
