RESOLUTION NO. 5372 (CCS)

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA ORDERING THE PLANTING OF TREES ALONG
SANTA MONICA BLVD. BETWEEN 14TH STREET AND 17TH
STREET, IN ACCORDANCE WITH RESOLUTION OF INTENTION
5334 (CITY COUNCIL SERIES)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the Clty of Santa Monica, on the
10th day of July~ 1979, passed and adopted its Resolutlon of Intention,
belng Resolution No. 5334 (City Council Series), to order the work descrlbed
therein to be done, which in accordance with said Resolution of Intention
duly and legally notices were posted along the line of the proposed project
and written notices of said improvement have been glven 1n the manner required
by law and any and all written objections and protests to the work or the
extent of the district to be assessed were heard and considered by the City
Counci 1.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the public interest requires, and the City
Council of the City of Santa Monica hereby orders the tree planting descrlbed
in said Resolution of Intention to be done along Santa Monlca Blvd. between
14th Street and 17th Street within the City of Santa Monica. That all of
said protests and objections of every klnd and nature to the proposed work
or to the extent of the dlstrict to be assessed be and the same hereby are
overruled and denled.
SECTION 2. That Street Superintendent hereby is directed to
commence the tree planting above described after a 50-day period wherever
the property owners have not started the tree planting proJect themselves.

SECTION 3. Reference hereby is made to said Resolution of
Intention for a map of the assessment districtt and for further particulars.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolutlon and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force
and effect.
