RESOLUTION NO. 5435
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL Of THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA CONCURRING WITH AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO THE LOS ANGELES
COUNTY SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT PLAN.
WHEREAS~ The State Solid Waste Management Board approved the
Los Angeles County Solid Waste Management Plan on December l6~ 1977 as
meeting the requirements of Section 66780 Title 7.3 of the Government
Code; and
WHEREAS, during approximately one year of implementation of the
Plan a number of changes have occurred and requests for revisions have
been received which resulted in the preparation of Amendment No.2 to
the County Solid Waste Management Plan; and
WHEREAS. the Amendment No.2 is subject to the approval by the
majority of the clties within 1ncorporated areas of the County; and
WHEREAS. the amendment No.2 was submitted to the City of
Santa Monica for approval;
NOW. THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council hereby approves Amendment
No.2 to the Los Angeles County Solid Waste Management Plan.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolutlon and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force
and effect.
