A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 4916 WHICH RESOLUTION
ESTABLISHES WAGES, HOURS, AND OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS
OF EMPLOYMENT FOR THE SANTA MONICA FIREFIGHTERS ASSOCIAITON.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Thatclause 21 of the memorandum of understand~ng between the
Clty of Santa Monica and the Santa Monica Flreflghters Asssoc~atlon
be amended to include subsect~on (e), as follows:
21. Vacation Leave
(e) Notwithstanding the vacation accrual rates noted
above, effective July 1, 1979, employees OccupYlng
a regularly authorized full-tlme position or
permanent and continuing part-time positlon in
the employment position class~f~cations of
Flrefighter, F~re Englneer, Fire Captain and
Battalllon Chief shall accrue vacat~on leave
with pay an the following basls:
(1) Following completion of the flrst six
months of cont~nuous serVlce, six (6)
working days.
(2) Thereafter, up to and including flve (5)
completed years of service, one (1) working
day for each completed calendar month of
serVlce.
(3) Thereafter, up to and includlng ten (10)
completed years of service, one and one-
quarter (l~) working days for each completed
calendar month of serVlce.
(4) Thereafter, up to an includ~ng fifteen (15)
years of serV1ce, one and five hundred and
eighty-three one-thousandths (1 583/1000)
worklng days for each completed calendar
month of service.
(5) Upon completion of flfteen (15) years of
serVlce and thereafter, one and three-quarters
(1 3/4) working days for each completed
calendar month of service.
(6) The administratlon or appllcation of vacatlon
leave provisions and the Ilmltations on the
accumulatlon, proportionate accumulation,
scheduling and payment for such leave shall
be as prescribed in the civil serv~ce provis~ons
of the Santa Monica Munlclpal Code.
