A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SA~TA BONICA DONATING TlJENTY-'!\.JO Cm1PLETE
BREATHING UNITS TO THE U.4..ZATLAN, B. C. FIRE
DEP ARTIIEN'I'
1YHEREAS, the City of Santa ~onica presently has in
storage twenty-two (22) complete breathing units of the l5-~inute
type, and
~
HHEREAS, these units are approximately nine years old
and do not meet CAL/OSHA (California/Occupational Safety & Health
Administration) or NIOSH (National Institute of Occupational
Safety & Health) requirements for breathing apparatus; and
1.mEREAS, these units can be utilLzed to good advantage,
within their limitations,
NOW, THEREFORE. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOBS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council donate the equipment
to Santa Honica's sister city. Hazatlan, B. C.
SECTION 2. That this donation be made via the Sister
City Committee
SECTION 3. That the Mazatlan, B. C. Fire DepartMent
has advised that they would greatly appreciate the gift.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adontion
of this resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall
be in full force and effect
