CITY COUNCIL SERIES
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA ORDERING THE CONSTRUCTION OF CONCRETE GUTTERS ON

WHEREAS, the City Counc11 of the C1ty of Santa Mon1ca~ on the
22nd day of April, 1980, passed and adopted its Resolution of Intention,
being Resolut1on No. 5566 (C1ty Council Series), to order the work described
therein to be done, which 10 accordance with said Resolutlon of Intent10n
duly and legally notices were posted along the line of the proposed project
and wrltten notices of sald improvement have been given in the manner required
by law and any and all written objections and protests to the work or the
extent of the district to be assessed were heard and considered by the City
Counc11.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES
RESOLVE AS FOllOWS:
SECTION 1. That the public lnterest requires, and the Clty Counc1l
of the City of Santa Mon1ca hereby orders the construct1on of concrete gutters
described in said Resolution of Intention to be done along Colorado Avenue from
Ocean Avenue to lincoln Boulevard wlthin the City of Santa Monica. That all
of said protests and objections of every k1nd and nature to the proposed work
or to the extent of the distrlct to be assessed be and the same hereby are
overruled and denled.
SECTION 2. That Street Superintendent hereby 15 directed to commence
the construction of concrete gutters above described after a 50-day period
wherever the property owners have not started the gutter constructlon themselves.

SECTION 3. The City Clerk hereby is d1rected to post a notice
for five days on or near the door of the Council Chambers of the City Hall
invitlng sealed proposals or bids for doing the work ordered and referring
to the specif1cations on f1le 1n the Office of the City Englneer and to
publlSh a notice 1nviting such proposals for two days in the Evening Outlook.
a newspaper published and circulated in said City.
SECTION 4. Reference hereby 1S made to said Resolution of
Intention for a map of the assessment district, and for further particulars.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of thlS
resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and
effect.
