WHEREAS, the City of Santa Monica Data Processing Department has
a requirerrent for upgradmg of the present Hewlett-Packard Serles II Canputer
to a Ser1es III; and

Packard is able to supply cc:n-patible equ1pnent;

RESOLVE AS FOI.,I,(X\TS:
SECTION 1. That the Clty Councll finds that the requrrement exlSts
to upgrade the City's ccroputer equlprent.
SECTION 2. That bld solic1tatlOI1 would be unavailing and cause
unnecessary expense and delay.
SB:TION 3. That the C~ty Manager 1S author~zed to negotiate t-nth
He,vlett-Packard to supply equiprent to upgrade, and 1S hereby authorized to
execute a purchase agreement for the servlce.
SECTION 4. The Mayor shall Slgn and the City Clerk shall certify to
the adoptlOn of th~s resolut1on, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be
m full force and effect.
