RESOLUTION NO. 6052
(CITY COUNCIL SERIES)
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA ESTABLISHING TWO PHYSICALLY HANDICAPPED
ZONES ON: (1) THE WEST SIDE OF OCEAN AVENUE NORTH OF
ALTA AVENUE AND (2) ADJACENT TO 234 SAN VICENTE BLVD.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Monica has enacted
an ordinance enabling individuals to request parklng zones for physically
handicapped persons; and
WHEREAS, Staff is in recelpt of requests for two physically
handicapped zones; and
WHEREAS, the Parking and Traffic Engineer has considered the
requests and concluded, based upon the factors stated in the ordinance, that
physically handicapped zones may be installed at the two requested locatlons;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. A physically handicapped zone 15 hereby established
on the west side of Ocean Avenue north of Alta Avenue.
SECTION 2. A physically handicapped zone is hereby established
adjacent to 234 San Vicente Boulevard.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
thlS resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force
and effect.
