RESOLUTI ON NO. 6053
(CITY COUNCIL SERIES)
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA REQUESTING AN ALLOCATION AND PAYMENT
OF COUNTY AID TO CITIES FUNDS FOR THE MAINTENANCE
OF SELECT SYSTEM STREETS (C-89)
WHEREASt the County of Los Angeles has appropriated certain
monies to the City of Santa Monica as County Aid to Clties; and
WHEREAS, the City Councll desires to expend the amount of
$118,893 of said funds accrued to the City for the malntenance of streets
on the City's approved Select System.
NOWt THEREFOREt THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The County of Los Angeles is hereby requested to
allocate $118,893 of the Aid to Citles (A.T.C.) funds apportioned to the
Clty for the maintenance of those streets on the currently approved Select
System of Streets (excluding State Hlghways), on file with the Department
of Transportatlon, State of Californiat and incorporated herein by
reference.
SECTION 2. After the allocation is approved by the Board of
SuperVlsors and funds are avallable, the County is requested to send such
allocated amount to the Clty. The Clty will begin using the funds for
the street maintenance accordlng to the terms of the allocation.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certlfy to the adoption
of this resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in
full force and effect.

SECTION 4. That the City Engineer shall forward a certified
copy of this resolution to the Los Angeles County Road Commissioner for
processing.
