RESOLUTION NO. 6054
(CITY COUNCIL SERIES)
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA FINDING THE PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND
NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUCTION OF STREET
lIGHTING ON THE STREETS BOUNDED BY LINCOLN BLVD..
SANTA MONICA FREEWAY, FOURTEENTH STREET AND PICa
BLVD. (EXCLUDING ELEVENTH STREET)
WHEREAS, a publlC hearing has been held duly and regularly
pursuant to Resolution 6015 (CCS), and the laws and Constitution of the
State of California on the proposed improvement on the streets bounded by
lincoln Blvd., Santa Monica Freeway, Fourteenth Street and Pico Blvd. (excluding
Eleventh Street) by the construction of street lighting and appurtenant work
thereto, as described in the Resolution of Intention No. 6016 (CCS), for said
work, all withln the City of Santa Monica; and
WHEREAS, said improvement has been considered fully;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the said City Council hereby finds and
determines that the public convenience and necessity require the lmprovernent
on the streets bounded by lincoln Blvd., Santa Monica Freeway, Fourteenth Street
and Pico Blvd. (excluding Eleventh Street) by the construction of street lighting
and appurtenant work thereto, as described in the Resolution of Intention
No. 6016 (CGS).
SECTION 2: That the said City Council hereby finds and determines
further that the "Special Assessment Investigation, Limitatlon and Majorlty
Protest Act of 193111 shall not apply to the making of said improvement.

SECTION 3. That the sald improvement shall be conducted
under the Improvement Act of 1911, which is Division 7 of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California, and the Street Superintendent and
the City Attorney presented to the said City Council the Resolution of Intention
required by sald Improvement Act to initiate the proceedings for said

improvement.
SECTION 4. The Clty Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and
effect.
