A RESOIllI'IOO OF THE CITY COONCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA MJICA REJECTING FORMAL BID AND AUTHORIZING
DIRECl' NEX3OI'IATION FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1)
IN'l'liliMEDIATE FOUR (4) IJCX)R SEDAN, MALIBU
WHEREAS, the city of Santa :Manica Transportatlon Defarbnent has
a requirement for one intermedlate four door sedan~ and
WHEREAS, research has indlcated that a Chevrolet Mal1bu may be the
vehicle of lowest ultimate cost; and
WHEREAS, the IlOst efficient way to detennme ultimate costs 1S
through actual use ~
NCW THEREFORE, THE CITY ca..JN:IL OF THE CITY OF SANTA M:NICA DOES
RESOLVE AS FOIJ..CWS:
SECTION 1. That the C1 ty Council hnds that the requuement eXlsts
to purchase one (1) intermediate four (4) door sedan, Chevrolet Malibu.
SECTICliI 2. That any bids frQil Bld No. 1534 be reJected.
SECTIOO" 3. That the City Manager is authorized to negotiate, and is
hereby authonzed. to execute a purchase agreement for the designated vehicle, for
a pr lee not to exceed $6,850.00 plus appllCab1e taxes.
SEr:rION 4. The Mayor shall 51gn and the City Clerk shall certify to
the adoption of thlS resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be
1n full force and effect.
