A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA APPROVING THE FINAL ENVIRONMENTAL
IMPACT ASSESSMENT OF THE MULTISERVICE CENTER
ACTIVITY OF THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK
GRANT PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, it was necessary to prepare a revised environmental
assessment for the Multiservice Center actlvity proposed in the Hous~ng
and Community Development Block Grant appllcation~ and,
WHEREAS, the environmental status of thlS activity was
determlned and the applicable assessment prepared~ and,
WHEREAS, public notlficatlon was conducted in a manner
provldlng citizens adequate opportunlty to review and comment on the
reVised assessment; and,
WHEREAS, departments and agencies having speCial lnterest or
]urlsdiction over the activity reviewed the draft assessment; and,
WHEREAS, no comments or suggested revlsions have been
received to date; and,
WHEREAS, the following revlsed environmental assessment has
been prepared: A Not1ce of Finding of No S1gn1ficant Effect on the
EnVlronment and a Negative Declaration for a Multlservice Center for
Social SerVices.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. That the revised Environmental Impact Assessment
has been completed in compliance with the California EnVironmental
Quality Act, State and City guidellnes, and Federal regulations.
SECTION 2. That the City Council has reviewed and considered
informat~on contalned in the revised Environmental Assessment.
SECTION 3. That the City Council determines that the activity
wlll not have a substantial adverse ~mpact on the environment.
SECTION 4. That the City Council deslgnates the City Manager
as the authorlzed representative of the City of Santa Monica to act in
connection with the environmental reView process, and to provide such
add~tlonal informat~on as may be requ~red.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoptlon of
th~s resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in
full force and effect.
