A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA ORDERING THE PLA~TING OF TREES ALONG
COLORADO BETWEEN FOURTH STREET AND LINCOLN BOULEVARDt
ALL WITHIN THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Mon1cat on the
12th day of August, 1980, adopted its Resolution No. 6062 (City Council
Series), being the Resolution of Intention, which described the work to
be done; and
WHEREAS, in accordance w1th the said Resolution of Intention
notices were posted along the line of the proposed project and written
not1ces of the improvement were mailed 1n the manner required by law; and
WHEREAS, any and all written objections and protests to the work
or the extent of the district to be assessed were heard and considered by
the City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the public interest requires, and the City
Council of the City of Santa Monica hereby orders the tree planting described
in said Resolution of Intention to be done along Colorado between Fourth
Street and Lincoln Boulevard within the City of Santa Monica. That all of
sa1d protests and objections of every kind and nature to the proposed work
or to the extent of the district to be assessed be and the same hereby are
overruled and denied.
SECTION 2. That Street Superintendent hereby is directed to
commence the tree planting above described after a 60-day period wherever
the property owners have not started the tree plant1ng project themselves.

SECTION 3. Reference hereby is made to said Resolution of
Intention for a map of the assessment district, and for further particulars.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certlfy to the adoption of this
resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force
and effect.
