A RESOLUTIO:l OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA H"!IICA WAIVING FURTHER FORMAL BID
PROCEDUPE ,\ND AUTHORIZING DIRECT NEGOTIATION
FOR PURCHASE 0F SOIL SHREDDER
WHEREAS, the city of Santa Monica Parks Division has a
requirement for a Soil Shredder, and
WHEREAS, the Royer #25 Soil Shredder being replaced has given
very good service; and
WHEREAS, the Goodwin Equipment Service Company is the ex-
elusive distributor-dealer in the State of California for Royer oro-
ducts;
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SlL~TA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS
SECTION 1. That the City Council finds that the requirement
exists to purchase the Soil Shredder.
SECTION 2. That formal bid solicitation would cause unnecessary
expense and delay.
SECTION 3
That the City Manager is hereby authorized to ex-
cute a purchase agreement for the eqipment.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in
full force and effect.
