CITY COUNCIL SERIES
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA MONICA WAIVING FURTHER FORMAL BID
PROCEDURE AND AUTHORIZING DIRECT NEGOTIATION
FOR PURCHASE OF THREE (3) MONITOR DEFIBRILLATORS
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Monica Fire Department has a
requirement for three (3) Monitor Defibrillators
WHEREAS, two (2) were formally bid on bid #1481 9/18/79
and
WHEREAS, Mobile Life Systems was awarded the bid to supply
these two (2) units
WHEREAS: Mobile Life Systems, Inc. has offered to extend
to the City the same pricing of $4,480.00 per unit plus tax
for the present three unit requirement.
and
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS.
SECTION 1. That the City Council finds that the requirement
exists to purchase the three (3) Monitor Defibrillators
SECTION 2. That further bid solicitation would cause unnecessary
expense and delay.
SECTION 3. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to excute
a purchase agreement for the equipment.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be
in full force and effect.
