RESOLUTION NO. 6131
(CITY COUNCIL SERIES)
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA WAIVING FORt4AL BID PROCEDURE AND GRANTING
APPROVAL FOR CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AGREEMENT WITH
COLDWELL BANKER IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $4,100
FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SECURITY FENCING ALONG THE
NORTHERLY PROPERTY LINE OF THE AIRPORT.
WHEREAS, the City Council has appropriated funds for the construction
of security fenc1ng along the Alrport property 11ne; and
WHEREAS, Coldwell Banker has received a proposal to bUlld a fence
and has requested the C1ty to pay one-half the cost; and
WHEREAS, acceptance of th1S proposal would result in a sav1ngs to
the City of approximately $6,000.00;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the C1ty Counc11 finds that lf the City accepts
the proposal from Coldwell Banker, the City will save $6,000 on 1ts contract to
build the remainlng fence.
SECTION 2. That the C1ty Manager 15 hereby author1zed to execute
an agreement with Coldwell Banker to reimburse them for one-half the cost of
building the fence, not to exceed a total reimbursement of $4,100.00.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certlfy to the adopt1on of thlS
resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and
effect.
