RESOLUTION NO. 6132
(CITY COUNCIL SERIES)
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA CONFIRMING THE REPORT OF THE SUPERINTENDENT OF
STREETS REGARDING REPAIRS TO DAMAGED SIDEWALKS,
DRIVEWAYS AND CURBS (SR-80-8)
WHEREAS, the Street Superintendent of the City of Santa Monica,
pursuant to Sectlon 5600 to 5630 of the Streets and Hlghways Code, commenced
proceedlngs to cause the repalr of damaged sidewalks, driveways and curbs ln
the City of Santa Monica, and
WHEREAS, Slxty days after said order was served, the work had
not been completed by the owners or persons ln possession of the affected
properties, and the Superintendent of Streets caused the work to be done; and
WHEREAS, the Superintendent of Streets did fl1e with the Clty
Council of the City of Santa Monica his reports of such work, and a hearing thereon
was called by Resolution No. 6095 (CCS); and
WHEREAS, the City Council conducted a notlced hearlng to consider
any protests or obJections to the Reports of the Work.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS'
SECTION 1. That the Report of Work of the Superintendent of
Streets heretofore filed and above described, be and the same is hereby
conti rmed.
SECTION 2. That all of sald protests and objections of every
kind and nature to the repairs or to the assessments and all appeals therefrom
to said Clty Council be and the same hereby are overruled and denied.

SECTION 3. That the cost of the repairs, as set forth ln said
Report, shall be assessed agalnst the properties described herein, which
propertles front upon the improvement so constructed.
SECTION 4. That if such assessment is not paid wlthin the t1me
permltted by law the same shall constitute a spec1al assessment and llen
agalnst the properties thereln described, ln the amount set forth 1n said
Report, which lien shall continue untll the assessment and all lnterest thereon
is paid.
SECTION 5. That if the assessment lS not paid within the time
permltted, the City Clerk shall dellver a Notice of Lien, signed by the
Superlntendent of Streets, as provlded in Section 5626 of the Streets and
Hlghways Code of the State of Cal1fornla, to the County Assessor and Tax
Collector, who, 1n accordance with applicable law, shall collect sald
assessment. together with all other taxes relating to such property.
SECTION 6. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoptlon of
thlS Resolutlon.
