RESOLUTION NO. 6133
(CITY COUNCIL SERIES)
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA ORDERING THE CONSTRUCTION OF CONCRETE
SIDEWALKS ON THE EAST SIDE OF NEILSON WAY BETWEEN
PICO BOULEVARD AND HOLLISTER AVENUE, IN ACCORDANCE
WITH RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 6096 (CITY COUNCIL
SERIES) .
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Monica, on
the 14th day of October, 1980, passed and adopted 1ts Resolution of Intention,
being Resolution No. 6096 (City Counc11 Ser1es), to order the work described
therein to be done, which in accordance wlth said Resolution of Intention,
duly and legally notlces were posted along the llne of the proposed proJect
and wr1tten notices of said improvement have been given 1n the manner required
by law and any and all written obJections and protests to the work or the
extent of the dlstr1ct to be assessed were heard and considered by the City
Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS;
SECTION 1. That the public interest requires, and the Clty
Councll of the City of Santa Monica hereby orders the constructlon of concrete
sidewalks as described in said Resolution of Intention to be done along the
east slde of Neilson Way between Pico Boulevard and Holllster Avenue, all within
the City of Santa Monica. That all of said protests and obJectlons of every
klnd and nature to the proposed work or to the extent of the d1str1ct to be
assessed be and the same hereby are overruled and denied.

SECTION 2. That Street Superintendent hereby is directe~ to
commence the construction of concrete sidewalks as descrfbed after a 60-day
period wherever the property owners have not started the constractlon and
planting themselves.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk hereby is dire.cted to post a notlce for
f1ve days on or near the door of the Council Chambers of the City Hall tnvit1ng
sealed proposals or bids for doing the work ordered and ~eferJing to the
specif1cat1ons on file in the Off1ce of the City Engineer and to puultsh a
not1ce inv1ting such proposals for two days in the Evening Outlook, a newspaper
publ1shed and circulated in said City.
SECTION 4. Reference hereby is made to said Re~olutton of Intention
for a map of the assessment district, and for furtber particulars.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoptton of this
resolut1on and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be 1n full force and
effect.
