RESOLUTION NO.6137
(CITY COUNCIL SERIES)
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA ORDERING WORK ON SUNSET AVENUE BETWEEN SEVENTEENTH
STREET AND DEWEY AVENUE WITHIN THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA,
IN ACCORDANCE WITH RESOLUTION OF INTENTION 6099 (CITY
COUNCIL SERIES).
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Monica, on the
14th day of October, 1980, passed and adopted lts Resolution of Intent1on,
belng Resolution No. 6099 (Clty Counc1l Serles), declaring lts intent10n
to order the work described herein to be done, which said Resolution of
Intent10n duly and legally was published as required by law and notice of
sa1d improvement has been given ln the manner required by law and all written
objections and protests to the proposed work or the extent of the dlstrlct
to be assessed were heard and considered by the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the public interest and convenience requlre, and
the C1ty Council of the Clty of Santa Monlca hereby orders, the work descrlbed
in said Resolution of Intentlon to be done on Sunset Avenue between Seventeenth
Street and Dewey Avenue. within the C1ty of Santa Monlca. That any and a11 of
sa1d protests and obJections of every k1nd and nature to the proposed work or
to the extent of the district to be assessed be and the same hereby are
overruled and den1ed.

SECTION 2. The City Clerk hereby 1S dlrected to post a notlce
for f1ve days on or near the door of the Council Chambers of the Clty Hall
inviting sealed proposals or bids for doing the work ordered and referrlng
to the specifications on file and to publish a notice inviting such proposals
for two days in the Evening Outlook, a newspaper published and clrculated in
said City.
SECTION 3. Reference hereby is made to said Resolution of Intention
for a descr1ption of the work, the assessment district, the bonds to be issued
and for further particulars.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be ln full force and
effect.
