A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA MONICA REVISING THE BASIC RATE AND DOMESTIC
SERVICE CHARGE FOR WATER SERVICE SUPPLIED BY THE
SANTA MONICA WATER DIVISION
WHEREAS, the C1ty Counc1l may establ1sh, amend or revise from time
to time by resolution the rates and serV1ce charge to be charged for supplying
water serV1ce to any consumer, pursuant to Sectlon 7200 of the Santa Monica
Municlpal Code; and~
WHEREAS, the Water Divislon has conducted a study of water rates for
the purpose of adequately supportlng Water Divlsion expendltures; andt
WHEREAS, said study lndlcates a need for and proposes a water rate
increase:
NOW, THEREFOREt THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Water Rate. The b1-monthly base rate is hereby established
at forty-flve ($.45) cents per one hundred (100 cubic feet of water used,) plus
eight ($.08) cents for Power and Imported Water Adjustment.
SECTION 2. Service Charge. The bi-monthly serV1ce charge for domestic
service is hereby established at the following rates:

SECTION 3. Applicability. The provls1on here1n shall be appllcable
to all water serV1ce by the Clty of Santa Mon1ca Water Division except as
otherW1se provided ln Artlcle VII, Chapter 2 of the Santa Mon1ca Munic1pal
Code.
SECTION 4. This resolution shall take effect upon 1ts adoption,
or upon 1tS adm1nistrative implementatlon, wh1chever last occurs.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adopt1on of this
resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be 1n full force
and effect.
