liHEREAS. the City of Santa Monica Data Processing Dept. has a
requirement for Two Hewlett-Packard Disk Drives.
WHEREAS. only one (1) Source. Hewlett Packard can supply the
disk drives necessary to satisfy the City's requirements.
WHEREAS. to the best of Staff's knowledge only one company can
supply the Disk Drives that are compatible with the Citv's existing
Hewlett Packard Computer.
NOW THEREFORE, THE eITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Co~ncil finds that the requirement
exists to purchase the Hewlett Packard Disk Drives
SECTION 2. That further bid solicitation would cause unnecessary
expense and delay.
SECTION 3. That the City Mamger is hereby authorized to excute
a purchase agreement for the equipment.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in
full force and effect.
