A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA MONICA WAIVING FURTHER FO~~L BID
PROCEDURE AND AUTHORIZING DIRECT NEGOTIATION
FOR UPG~DING & RETROFITTING FIRE DEPARTMENT
ENGINE 4ft 3
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Monica Fire Department has a
requirement for Retrofitting & Upgrading Fire Department Engine

~{HEREAS, Funds in the amount of $48,136 00 have been
budgeted for this purpose.
~{HEREAS, to the best of Staff's knowledge no single company
can supply the necessary services, material and labor to fullfill
this requirement.
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I
That the City Council finds that the requirement
exists to upgrade and retrofit Engine #3.
SECTION 2
That formal bid solicitation would cause
unnecessary expense and delay.
SECTION 3. That the Citv Manager is herebv authorized to
waive formal bid procedures.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be
in full force and effect.
