t40~ICA AUTHORIZlxG CERTAIN ~ECESSARY PROCEDURES AND
PAY~ENT OF SALARIES TO PRECI~CT OFFICERS RELATING
TO THE GEKERAL M~ICIPAL ELECTIO~ TO BE HELD ON
APRIL 10, 1979.
WHEREAS, ElectIon Code Section 22030 provides for designatIon
of consolidated electIon precincts and payment for use of same by
the City Council, and
WHEREAS, Election Code SectIon 22805 provides for appOIntment
and payment of one inspector, one judge and two clerks as election
offIcers for each voting precinct, and
WHEREAS, Election Code Section 22932.5 provides that the
governing body may, by resolution, order the canvass of returns
to be made by the CIty Clerk prIor to the first Tuesday after the
election.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL DOES RESOLV~ AS FOLLO~S:
